Spawned in an instant when a walking stick 🩼 and a filbert brush 🖌️were beaten against a cannon full of ✨glitter✨ and 🦇bats🦇, Lulu erupted into the world in a storm of chaos and 🪄sparkles🪄.
Lulu studied art in Ballyfermot College, and absorbs random knowledge from the world that needs to be chunky enough to be visible through the brain fog. Lulu has SO MANY THINGS wrong with her physically because she's so powerful the universe has attempted to nerf her with every patch, but she tries to get through that with humour, spooky, chaos, and cats.
If you want the real story, I was once a tattoo artist. I absolutely adored making art every single day, especially art people could bring with them everywhere. When I developed a physical disability, I was heartbroken. I got into a fantastic inpatient physiotherapy programme, with an occupational therapist who refused to let me give up. She encouraged me to do things despite the pain I was in.
Little by little, I got back to work. Even if it wasn't a possibility to return to tattooing (due to the highly physical nature and constant strain on the spine) I was able to start drawing again.
I left public sector work due to my health issues, and purchased a graphics tablet that has greatly assisted my art journey.
I am on the autism spectrum, and I have fibromyalgia syndrome.
I have made multiple pieces of concept art for the TTRPG, Fey Earth. I have made art on a hobbying basis since then, and in 2020, I was commissioned to illustrate The Morrigan from Irish mythology for a book by Courtney Weber, The Morrigan: Goddess of Magick and Might. My goal is to create illustrations for TTRPGs, books, and I am working on a children's book of my own.
In case you couldn't guess by now, I am a turbo nerd! I love TTRPGs like D&D, Vampire: The Masquerade, Shadowrun, Call of Cthulhu, and so many more. I adore horror films and TV, and collecting weird antiques for my Cabinet of Curiosities. Anime and manga are two art forms I enjoy, especially magical girls (because don't we all secretly wish we were able to do a fierce transformation sequence and use magic?) Cats are the best thing ever, closely followed by all things mustelid (ferrets, weasels, otters, stoats, sables... it goes on!) and bats.
At the moment, I'm making art and creating stickers, keychains, t-shirts and art prints. These are all available here on my site! I plan on attending upcoming markets and cons to sell my products, so if you see me around, say hi!
Also, because it has to be said nowadays, I do not use AI art. I either draw everything myself, or use stock images to save time on textures, etc. As a disabled artist, shortcut like stock images help reduce the strain on my body so I can focus on you know, the making art part of art. I do not endorse, condone, or support AI training on my artwork, or any other artist's artwork for that matter.
