Life Drawing, Sketches, and Rough Work
Show your working!
Isn’t that what maths teachers always tell us, to “show our working”? Or at least to show part of the process? My sketchbooks always end up looking like a bathroom stall in an art college, rather than looking like a cohesive work of art on its own, but I like to think there’s a beauty to that.
Concept sketch of the only mustelid I wouldn't want to take home - the dobhar-chú! It's said to be a giant river otter in Irish folklore that has um, violent tendencies.
The image in the top left is from my days as a tattoo apprentice, waaaaay back in the early 2010s before my disability hit. I decided I wanted to redraw Medusa, taking inspiration from the original image, but making her look more empowered, and more Grecian and sculptural. I still plan on finishing this piece, because I love how the sketch turned out.
This is INCREDIBLY old, and was for a TTRPG I was part of. I never got to finish it, as my day job and my disability were becoming overwhelming to say the least.
