Graphic Design & Logo Work

I’m entirely self taught with graphic design, but I like to think
I can do a little something with it that looks pleasing! For a fuller portfolio of graphic design I’ve done, please check out the AED Project page

Goth Picnic, St. Stephen’s Green

I was asked by the fabulous Vampire Annie to make this design for the annual Goth Picnic in St. Stephen’s Green, Dublin, Ireland.

Southern Spectres Shirt

When my fiancé’s 4 year World of Darkness TTRPG came to an end, I designed a t-shirt for our group members to commemorate it. It was a fantastic campaign, with excellent players, and a fantastic storyline that wrapped up in a satisfying, realistic, and emotional way. We all have these t-shirts still.

The TTRPG revolved around our group of ghost hunters who had a YouTube channel called “Southern Spectres”, and we investigated allegedly haunted locations around a fictional parish in Louisiana called “Passionville”. You might notice the Camarilla symbol at the top, and my © Sainted Haint fleur de lis ghost at the bottom.

Victorian Mourning TTRPG cards

Anyone who has ever played in a TTRPG has lost a character during the course of a game. Whether the loss was heroic or stupid, I decided it would be a nice tool to have in the arsenal of a game master for when the inevitable happens. Available as a digital download to print at home, fill in with the details and present to the player when their character shuffles off this mortal coil.

HEMA Festival Logo

The Eager Beaver Shirt Design

Once upon a time, in the early 2000s, I had the privilege of working for an iconic Dublin shop called The Eager Beaver, a vintage 70s clothing shop in Temple Bar. In those days, Temple Bar was the cultural hub of Dublin City, and the Eager Beaver with its iconic green facade and eclectic shop window displays was certainly part of that. I got to work with the shop owners, Robert and Siobhan Woodnut, and it was a delight.

I approached the owner several years later to suggest making branded shirts and selling them for the shop, only to hear he was selling the building and closing up! To say I was devastated was putting it lightly. So, I made a series of shirt/poster designs for iconic Dublin shops that shaped my youth.

This design depicts the titular eager beaver, in the style of Jimi Hendrix, with a groovy 70s style font, and a simplified greyscale colour scheme for ease of printing.

Retro poster design

Retro was one of those Dublin shops that was part of every alt / goth girl’s youth in Ireland. I photoshopped a Gil Elvgren style pinup girl to look more like the sort of clientele the shop attracts, and designed a poster as a creative exercise for myself.

Cooking With Flare Logo Design

Designed for an Australian business intended to provide recipes that were both easy to cook for people with chronic illnesses, and nutritious without triggering a “flare” of debilitating symptoms. It was a very clever business name!

With that inspiration, I went with a spatula acting as a literal flare, with sparks and bright, vivid flame. The font choice was simple but elegant.
